Legend is a popular new thriller/dystopian novel by Marie Lu. It follows two characters whose lives are closely entwined: Day and June. Day is the most wanted rebel in the Republic, and June is an extremely gifted young woman. The Republic is a war-ridden future version of the United States. In the Republic, every child has to take an exam that decides their future at the end of middle school. Day failed it and was sentenced to Labor Camps, although he escaped before he could be sent away. He becomes a fugitive on the streets evading capture and causing trouble. June aced the test and got her pick of the remaining universities and becomes a troublemaker at Drake. When Day kills June's beloved older brother in an attempt to steal cures for the plague that is attacking the Republic, June makes it her personal mission to find him and kill him. June goes out on the streets looking for him and gets a leg injury. Day rescues her, and their romance blooms without either realizing who the other is. What happens when their internal questions get answered will shock you…

I really enjoyed this book because it had lots of suspense, surprises and blended romance with adventure very well. I cannot wait to read the next book!
