The Naturals By Jennifer Lynn Barnes (8.5/10)

Jennifer Lynn Barnes is one of the leading young adult authors right now, and it's for a good reason. This mystery/thriller series follows the Naturals, a group of teens each with a special ability that they were taught to use or needed to use as a child living in a rough situation. The main character, Cassie, is a natural profiler. Cassie's mother was a fortune teller and used Cassie's profiling skills to pick out likely clients. One day, Cassie walked into her mother's dressing room and found blood all over the wall and her mom missing. The police found no evidence of who did this or where her mom was. When she joined the Naturals, Cassie hoped she would find her mom, but it seems impossible as the blood in the dressing room was more than can be lost and still live. What will she find out?

I really liked this book because it was exciting, and the character interactions were funny. I also thought the other books in the series were really good.
